Christmas under construction

So this weekend was very exciting around the household. First, Grandma arrived on Thursday and has been the centre of attention ever since. She might need to stay longer than she planned!

On Saturday, we took a (kid-free!) trip to the mall to do some Christmas shopping and see a movie (on our own!), which I’m slightly embarrassed to admit was the most recent Twilight movie. But it was either that or go see Hotel Transylvania. C’mon.

After our outing, we decided it was time to put up the tree! This wasn’t a very long process, since the tree is only about 3 feet high, but it was still a fun activity. I put some xmas tunes on shuffle and we went to it!

Yesterday, we took Grandma to the pool at my work. It was a lovely day, and we didn’t get stuck in too much traffic (which was good, because I was driving). Then, we had some friends over for dinner to cap off a lovely weekend. Now we’re looking forward to a quiet week.
